This painting started from a photograph of a landscape . 2 day's later and multiple variations there was noting left of the original photograph only rich textures from the layers of paint. Sometimes it pays to explore specially when you have no idea what you are doing and there are no rules just plain instinct.
When I first saw this I thought it looked like the b&w landscape photograph of trees in your gallery...that's interesting that it started out as a painting from a photograph, I think some parts of the original image might still remain!
That's one thing the abstract expressionists always struggled with, as hard as they tried to work abstractly, the viewer's eye would always pick up some image.

I can see how it may look that way the texture and the light. The image I started to paint was not the bw landscape. I assure you I put so much paint on top of the photograph that there is absolutely no remnant of the original picture. I don't remember which image was done first. I need to check
You hit it right on! Your painting is beautiful. When you let the left side of your barain take over... wounderful things can happen and it did! Congat. and let's see more of them.. Giora
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
